Job summary

Elliott Moss Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with deep experience in financial derivatives and enterprise backend systems. You will design and build high-performance backend services for derivatives trading, pricing, risk, and post-trade workflows.

Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and quantitative teams to deliver scalable solutions, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building scalable backend applications for financial services.
• Proven ability to design data models for trades and risk.
• Experience with derivatives trading, pricing, and lifecycle workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices for derivatives trading.
• Build and optimize data models for trades, positions, cashflows, and risk.
• Develop solutions for Vanilla Options, OTC Derivatives, and Structured Products.
• Implement trade lifecycle processes: capture, validation, settlement, reconciliation.
• Integrate with market data feeds, trading platforms, and risk systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable applications within investment banking, capital markets, or financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices for derivatives trading, pricing, risk, and post-trade workflows.
• Build and optimize data models for trades, positions, cashflows, lifecycle events, and complex financial instruments.
• Develop solutions supporting Vanilla Options, Option Strategies, OTC Derivatives, and Structured Products.
• Implement trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Integrate with market data feeds, trading platforms, risk systems, exchanges, and clearing houses.
• Develop real-time event-driven solutions for pricing, risk calculations, and trade processing.
• Collaborate with traders, risk managers, business analysts, and quantitative teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
