Job summary

Navan is building the next generation of intelligent travel experiences, where loyalty, personalization, and AI agents help travelers make better decisions before, during, and after every trip. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution for a high-availability, new Travel platform that unlocks new verticals in Navan’s business.

Qualifications

6+ years of software engineering experience in scalable, distributed systems.
Deep expertise in backend stacks: Java, TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Go or VM-based languages.
Experience with React or Angular front-end technologies.
Extensive design experience in microservices, APIs, event-driven workflows, and distributed data stores.

Responsibilities

Architect Core Backend Systems: design, build, and scale high-performance microservices.
Build Micro Front Ends: design and build responsive UI components.
Lead Technical Initiatives: drive cross-functional projects and set engineering standards.
Optimize Performance & Reliability: deliver low-latency, highly available APIs and data pipelines.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: partner with product, data, and platform teams to match requirements.
Raise the Engineering Bar: mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews.
