Sava is developing advanced biosensing technology and seeking a backend engineer to shape the infrastructure as we move from prototype to product. You will design APIs, services, and databases, write robust code, and push for scalable, secure backend systems in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production backend experience.
• Strongly typed languages – Go preferred.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience building APIs/backends or data-processing applications.
• Understanding of networking concepts and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with deployment strategies and observability.
• Security-focused with encryption, authentication & authorization.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend architectures, APIs, services, and databases to support production and development needs.
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Automated testing of backend infrastructure.
• Contribute to high-performance software development processes balancing performance, reliability and security.
• Champion best practices and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Translate higher-level requirements into concrete technical design solutions.
• Monitor production systems and improve observability with metrics, logging, tracing, and error diagnostics.
• Support continuous improvement of development, deployment, and operational processes.
