Fresha has over 120,000 businesses and 450,000 stylists using its platform to power over 1 billion appointments worldwide. We seek an experienced Senior Engineer who can lead technically without management, own tribe architecture, and drive cross-team initiatives.

Qualifications

• We have deep experience building and interacting with AI agents, using them to amplify output and integrate them into workflows while adhering to architecture and security standards.
• We take full accountability for ensuring generated code meets the quality expectations of a Senior Engineer.
• We have consistently delivered large systems involving one or more teams contributions on time and at a high level of quality.
• We can break down complex problems into knowns, unknowns, and potential solutions to reach solid resolutions quickly.
• We are capable of debugging the most difficult problems the team encounters.
• We have played a key role in developing multi-year technology strategy for critical areas of the business across multiple systems and teams.

Responsibilities

• We provide hands-on technical leadership in a heavily technical, non-management role.
• We own and deliver cross-team and cross-tribe technical initiatives.
• We take ownership of architecture for a tribe.
• We anticipate technical issues at the product level and make architectural and design decisions to avoid them.
• We create improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
• We ensure timely delivery of team projects that contribute to Fresha's success.
• We lead by example and ensure the team follows our engineering practices.
• We work closely with Product, Design, Data, and QA to keep goals clear and deliver value regularly.
• We facilitate continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• We ensure the systems we own meet our quality, reliability, and scalability standards.
• We anticipate broad technical changes and help keep us ahead of the curve.
• We make system-level trade-offs and clearly articulate scaling and reliability limits.
• We act as a multiplier by building systems, authoring tools, or introducing policies and patterns that raise productivity across the organisation.
• We communicate externally through talks and blog posts, and internally help drive consensus on major technology directions.
