Job summary

2Excel Aviation Ltd in Doncaster seeks a B2 Certifying Engineer to join the Capability Development Team. You will conduct base maintenance, including Major & Minor Modifications on King Air 200/300 and PA31 fleets, and support day‑to‑day upkeep of the maintenance organisation.

Applicants must hold UK CAA Part 66 B2 licence, with relevant type ratings, and have avionics/wiring repair experience. The role requires drawing interpretation, tool inventory control and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence (preferably with B200 and/or B300 type rating or similar)
• Several years of avionics and wiring repair/modification experience
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Own a basic set of avionics/electrical hand tools with inventory control
• Knowledge of avionics test equipment and crimping tooling
• Recent experience on B200 and/or B300 or similar
• Advantageous to hold a C License with Multi Engine Piston/Turbo Prop experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise non-licensed personnel
• Supervise electrical/avionics modification and integration on B200 and B300
• Support modification, maintenance and rectification on B200, B300 and PA31
• Assist with complex electrical/avionics modifications and repairs on/off aircraft
• Removal or installation of electrical/avionics components
• Support mechanical/electrical removals and installations
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures
• Perform work in a safe and timely manner
• Support cleanliness and upkeep of maintenance facilities and equipment
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations
