Job summary

2Excel Aviation Ltd in Doncaster is seeking a permanent Certifying Engineer to lead base maintenance on King Air 200/300 and PA31 fleets. You will supervise non-licensed personnel and oversee avionics modifications, installations and repairs as part of ongoing operational tasks.

The role requires a B2 licence with type ratings, practical experience in avionics wiring, interpretation of drawings, and a disciplined safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B2 licence required, with B200/B300 type rating preferred.
• Formal aircraft maintenance training or apprenticeship completed.
• Several years of avionics and wiring repair/modification experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate aircraft status clearly.
• Own a basic set of avionics/electrical tools and inventory control.
• Experience on B200/B300 or similar aircraft advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise non-licensed personnel.
• Supervise electrical/avionics modification and integration on B200/B300 and other company aircraft.
• Support modification, maintenance and rectification on B200, B300, PA31 and other types.
• Assist with complex electrical/avionics modifications and repairs on or off aircraft.
• Remove or install electrical/avionics components as required.
• Assist with mechanical or electrical removals and installations as needed.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies; work safely and timely.
• Contribute to upkeep of maintenance facilities and equipment.
• Document work performed per manuals and regulations.
