Digital Waffle is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to shape cloud infrastructure and automation in a hands-on role based in the United Kingdom. You’ll design and maintain Azure environments, implement GitOps practices, and contribute to architectural decisions with senior engineering colleagues.

You will work across security, networking and observability, mentoring others and driving platform improvements.

Formación

• Extensive commercial experience with Microsoft Azure and Terraform/IaC.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes, ideally AKS.
• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking, IAM, RBAC and security best practices.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural decisions.
• Familiarity with observability platforms (Grafana/Loki/OpenTelemetry) and regulated environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Develop and manage production Kubernetes/AKS environments including upgrades and security.
• Establish and improve GitOps and CI/CD practices with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and automation to standardize deployments.
• Design Azure networking (VNets, hub-spoke, DNS, NSGs, firewalls).
• Implement cloud security across identity, access management and container security.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and standardized deployment processes.
• Improve monitoring, logging, tracing and platform observability.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Python or Bash scripting.
• Contribute to technical designs, platform roadmaps and architecture decisions.
• Enhance developer experience with tooling and self-service capabilities.
• Act as senior escalation point and mentor engineers.
