Job summary

HelloKindred is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to lead hands‑on Azure work core to a large web estate. You will own the Azure platform, set technical standards for engineering, operation, security, and evolution, while guiding teams across infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity.

Hybrid setup with 3 days in office in the UK. You will drive policy, governance, automation, and scalable deployments, mentoring engineers and delivering secure, robust Azure solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior Azure Platform Engineer with hands‑on Azure leadership.
• Experience building secure, scalable Azure platforms in production.
• Strong automation via PowerShell, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Azure VM image build/release process.
• Design compliant infrastructure with Azure Policy and governance.
• Build and maintain IaC and CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Develop PowerShell tooling for provisioning and ops tasks.
• Configure Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, load balancers).
• Lead complex platform investigations across infra, network, and app layers.
• Produce technical documentation and communicate platform behavior.
