Job summary

TEKsystems in Sheffield is seeking an Azure Engineer to drive the design and delivery of cloud-native, full-stack products on Microsoft Azure, with hands-on work across React, Java, and Python.

The role focuses on AKS deployments, secure software development, and production excellence, including CI/CD, observability, and incident response. You will guide architecture, uplift engineering standards, and collaborate with product and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in senior/lead engineering roles delivering and operating production systems.
• Strong Java (Spring Boot) experience, REST APIs, performance tuning.
• Proficient Python service development with FastAPI/Flask.
• Expertise building front-ends with React (TypeScript) and robust testing.
• Hands-on AKS workloads, Kubernetes fundamentals, deployments and scaling.
• DXC/DevSecOps emphasis with Azure DevOps CI/CD and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack delivery across front-end and back-end technologies on Azure.
• Own AKS-based platform design, scaling, deployment, and observability.
• Develop back-end services in Java/Spring Boot or Python and secure APIs.
• Build modern UIs with React and ensure accessible design.
• Implement and maintain DevSecOps with automated tests and scans.
• Drive incident response, post-incident improvements, and release strategies.
