A market-leading organisation is looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to join their high-performing infrastructure team. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you’ll design, build, and enhance secure, scalable Azure‑based hosting and backup services across hybrid and multi‑tenant environments.
You’ll play a key part in shaping the organisation’s cloud roadmap – driving modernisation, improving resilience, and delivering high‑quality hosting solutions that support real business impact.
If you’re someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, leading delivery, and owning end‑to‑end Azure projects, this role will suit you perfectly.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining public/private cloud hosting and backup solutions.
- Producing high‑ and low‑level designs alongside clear technical documentation.
- Ensuring all platforms remain secure, highly available, flexible, and efficient.
- Leading the technical delivery of cloud, hosting, and backup service projects.
- Assessing and integrating new technologies into a hybrid environment.
- Working closely with service owners, PMs, and engineering teams to align delivery.
- Providing technical governance and ensuring compliance with architecture standards.
- Supporting capacity management, forecasting, and availability planning.
- Driving continual service improvement and contributing to long‑term cloud strategy.
- Mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practice across the team.
- Experience delivering enterprise‑level cloud or hybrid infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualisation, hyper‑converged infrastructure, and backup tech.
- Ability to produce detailed design documentation and technical standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in complex environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure‑by‑design approaches.
- Comfortable engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience in a managed services or multi‑tenant environment.
- Knowledge of VMware, Nutanix, Rubrik, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks or processes.
- Hybrid working with strong flexibility.
