Job summary

NewDay is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and operate Azure infrastructure across our cloud environment. You’ll optimise security, resilience and automation while delivering scalable solutions in a fast-paced financial services context.

You’ll work primarily in Microsoft Azure, applying IaC tools, scripting and monitoring to improve reliability, security and performance. The role is based in Leeds with the potential for hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing Azure infrastructure.
• Experience with IaaS and PaaS on Azure.
• Proficient with IaC tools and automation.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and support Azure infrastructure.
• Maintain secure and reliable infrastructure through patching and DR.
• Investigate infrastructure challenges and improve resilience.
• Collaborate across teams and maintain architecture docs.
• Improve infrastructure through automation and standardisation.
