Job summary

Global Law Firm in London is seeking a Cloud and Systems Engineer (Azure) to join the Technology support team on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on design, architecture, and operations of Azure-based services and a VMware estate.

You will deploy and operate Azure IaaS/PaaS, design landing zones, manage hybrid connectivity, identity, security, and governance, and contribute to cloud strategies across on-premises and cloud platforms. Strong experience in IaC and Microsoft certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years designing, deploying, and operating Microsoft Azure at scale.
• Experience managing cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation.
• Experience designing landing zones (essential).
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 services and Purview concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and operating Azure IaaS/PaaS services (VMs, storage, Azure Files).
• Designing Azure landing zones and multi-subscription architecture.
• Planning and executing infrastructure migrations into Azure (VMware/Windows/Linux).
• Providing architectural direction for secure hybrid infrastructure across Azure, SaaS, and on‑premises systems.
• Creating and executing cloud strategies while designing, developing, and managing cloud assets.
• Owning core Azure networking design and operations (vNETs, routing, private endpoints, NSGs).
• Managing hybrid connectivity concepts and identity across AD and Entra ID.
• Implementing Azure security and governance controls.
• Capacity planning of enterprise datacentre infrastructure.
