Job summary

Telent Technology Services Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Engineer to lead hands-on Azure migrations and modernization efforts. You'll shape cloud architecture, build landing zones, networking, identity and security while guiding engineers through complex deliveries.

You will collaborate with architects to ensure scalable, secure designs and produce documentation for handover and operations, in a fast-paced environment that values safety and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Senior or Principal level Azure engineering experience.
• Proven ability to deliver on-prem to Azure migrations and cloud transforms.
• Deep hands‑on knowledge of Azure networks, identity, security, compute, storage and monitoring.
• Experience in highly secure environments (government/MOD/critical national infra).
• Ability to lead complex delivery while staying hands‑on.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on delivery of cloud architecture, focusing on on-prem to Azure migrations.
• Build and evolve Azure landing zones, networking, identity, security and platform services.
• Translate designs into build-ready technical implementations.
• Serve as technical authority during delivery and guide engineers.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Cloud and Senior Engineers.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex cloud platform issues.
• Embed security-by-design across IAM, networking, encryption and monitoring.
• Produce high-quality technical docs, runbooks and handover artefacts.
• Collaborate with Cloud Solutions Architects to ensure scalable designs.
