Job summary

Netcompany is hiring a DevOps Engineer to enhance delivery through strong DevOps tooling, containers, and cloud expertise. You will bridge development and operations, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable deployments across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and Liquibase, contributing to infrastructure as code and monitoring practices. Hybrid UK work model and security clearances are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Experience using Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience in Java.
• Experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration.
• Experience with monitoring tools for reliability and performance.
• Database change management (Liquibase).
• Knowledge of GitOps principles.
• Public sector/central government experience is beneficial.

• Implement and support improvements to increase efficiency and software quality.
• Accelerate delivery times by applying best practices across DevOps.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, IT Operations, InfoSec and UCD teams to align people, processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
• Communication: Abilityto speak withstakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
• Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.

• 5+ Years working as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong knowledgeofAWS, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Experienceusing Terraform(infrastructure as code), Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience in Java
• Experienced with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration
• Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g., Liquibase).
• Knowledge of GitOps principles
• Experience working within the public sector/central government is beneficial
