Job summary

Airscreens Nationwide Ltd, based in the UK, is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to join a small IT and data team supporting bioinformatics workloads. You will design, implement and manage a scalable AWS platform with CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation to enable data-rich pipelines for research and clinical discovery.

The role requires 5+ years in AWS DevOps, Docker, Linux and IaC. You will work closely with scientists and bioinformaticians, with at least one day per month in the Oxford office

Qualifications

• 5+ years AWS DevOps experience in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences segments.
• Experience with data-heavy or research-led environments.
• Strong experience with AWS architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Linux system administration.
• Experience building data pipelines and governance/reproducibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable, secure AWS platform in collaboration with scientists.
• Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation.
• Enable complex data and bioinformatics pipelines to run reliably at scale.
• Shape data strategy, governance and reproducibility standards as the organisation grows.
