Job summary
JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Avionics Design Engineer in Oxford to lead the design and integration of avionic systems, ensuring compliance with OEM certifications. You will translate concepts into detailed designs, capture customer requirements, and guide production improvements within a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires a strong aviation background in avionics, experience with certification standards (FAR/CS 27/29, EASA/CAA Part-21J), and proficiency in AutoCAD and harness
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent required.
- Strong aviation background with avionics focus.
- Knowledge of FAR/CS 27/29 and EASA/CAA Part-21J standards.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and harness design tools.
- Experience with design lifecycle management and configuration control.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of avionic systems.
- Translate concepts into detailed, compliant designs.
- Capture and interpret customer requirements.
- Apply Systems Engineering methods across projects.
- Support risk management, testing, and certification processes.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and production teams.
- Maintain technical competency and stay updated with latest tech.
