Job summary

AECOM in the UK is seeking a Senior Civil 3D Designer to support Aviation Infrastructure across hybrid offices in Basingstoke and other cities. You will deliver 3D models, drawings and BIM workflows for multi-disciplinary aviation projects.

The role emphasizes automation with Dynamo and Python, ISO 19650 standards, and collaboration with planners, engineers and digital leads to drive efficient design and construction handover.

Qualifications

• Advanced Autodesk Civil 3D capability (corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, grading) on multi-disciplinary infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes beyond Level 2 and ISO 19650 information management.
• Proficiency with ProjectWise, BIM 360 / ACC, and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience using Dynamo, Python, or Civil 3D automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, and related facilities.
• Produce 3D models, 2D drawings and data-rich deliverables; apply automation to streamline production.
• Manage models and documentation in ProjectWise and ACC; implement BIM workflows per ISO 19650 and BEPs.
• Organise and own assigned tasks in line with project programme and budgets.
• Collaborate with airport planners, architects and engineers across the UK/Europe; attend client meetings.
• Assure model validation, coordination and clash detection using Navisworks Manager.
• Improve digital standards, libraries and templates for continuous enhancement.
