Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain (via PC24) seeks an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to deliver out-of-hours and GP-practice based care with prescribing responsibility and high autonomy. Registration with the NMC and a Non-Medical Prescriber qualification are essential.

Posts span 24/7 out-of-hours cover, GP practices and Alder Hey Hospital, with salaried or bank terms and a focus on safe, evidence-based care within local protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience of working autonomously.
• Experience of working in urgent care and/or primary care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with undifferentiated or complex needs.
• Clinically examine patients and plan care.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with drug and non-drug treatments.
• Prescribe and review medications per evidence-based practice.
• Manage a clinical caseload autonomously within governance frameworks.
• Undertake comprehensive health assessments for adults and children.
• Contribute to patient safety and quality improvement across hospital and primary care settings.
• Maintain professional development as a senior clinician in the practice team.
