Job summary

Arm in Cambridge, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Automation Tools Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain automation frameworks supporting our hybrid infrastructure and compute environments.

You will work with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, GitLab, Vault, and Foreman across our hybrid estate, collaborating with development, operations, engineering, and IT teams to simplify deployment, configuration, system management, and lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience using infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
• Good experience handling large-scale Linux environments and resolving system issues.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines, using version control, and applying DevOps practices in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or a scripting language, with scripts to automate tasks.
• Experience working across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).

We are looking for a Senior Automation Tools Engineer to join our Automation Tools team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain automation frameworks that support infrastructure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

We work closely with development, operations, engineering, and IT teams to simplify deployment, configuration, system management, and lifecycle processes.

This includes deploying and operating automation tools and their frameworks, such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, GitLab, Vault, and Foreman, across our hybrid estate and compute clusters.

Responsibilities
