Senior Automation Tester - Christchurch - salary up to £50,000 DOEOur client based in Christchurch, is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester with expertise in unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing to ensure their software is robust, reliable, and user-friendly.This is a hands-on role where you will design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated tests, identify and log defects, and collaborate closely with developers to enhance software quality.The ideal candidate will thrive in a technical environment, but also be able to translate technical jargon into an end-user-friendly language.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and maintain unit, integration, system, and acceptance test plans.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Maintain and update test cases to reflect software changes.
  • Automate repetitive testing tasks to increase efficiency and coverage.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.
  • Assess performance and usability for optimal end-user experience.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in manual and automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system).
  • Proficiency with testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
  • Solid grasp of coding principles to support test creation and execution.
