Project Details:

You will be part of an engineering team working on a large German media network. The team develops a multi-purpose subscription & payment service, critical to several client products. The architecture is microservices-based, ensuring scalability and rapid feature development, using AWS Serverless solutions like Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, AppSync, API Gateway, and infrastructure management tools such as Gitlab CI/CD, Serverless Framework, and DataDog. The QA engineer will focus on end-to-end and performance testing to maintain high quality standards.

Team Responsibilities:

• Investigate product quality and suggest improvements for better customer satisfaction.
• Develop tools and processes for efficient testing and fast shipping of features.
• Create, write, and execute automation and manual tests for the web platform.
• Drive quality improvements in an agile, continuous learning environment.

Required Skills:

• At least 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience testing APIs without frontend.
• Ability to share testing expertise with the development team.
• Fluent English skills (C1); German is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of BDD beyond just writing tests.
• Experience in web test automation using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience with AWS and testing distributed architectures.
