Job Title : Senior/Principal Automation Engineer

Position Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced hands-on QA Automation Senior/Principal Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for pioneering, developing, and implementing automated tests, and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include automating front-end and backend services, iOS, and Android Apps using relevant frameworks and libraries. Drawing on your extensive experience in the ecommerce, retail or food and beverage industry, you will replicate and scale automation efforts while fostering innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and strategize the automation initiative. Be the strong advocate for QA Automation.
• Be a thought leader in the automation area and communicate priorities/plan for the short/medium term.
• Design and implement frontend web automation using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and Typescript.
• Design and implement Backend API automation using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber with Node Fetch with Typescript.
• Proactively update automation test coverage to increase deployment frequency.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure that new features are properly tested.
• Identify false negative test runs and improve reliability over time by tracking test results.
• Report on test results, making them available to stakeholders through CI/CD.
• Design and implement Mobile testing for Android using Espresso and Kotlin and iOS using XCUITest with Swift.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA automation projects, especially in ecommerce projects.
• Strong experience with Cucumber, Typescript, Node Fetch.
• Strong experience with CI/CD integration (Github Actions, Jenkins).
• Having Kotlin and Swift programming skills is a plus for mobile automation.
• Experience in mentoring a team of QA automation engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
