Job Description:

Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is recruiting for a Senior Automation Engineer to support one of our UK projects. Whilst this is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, travel to Warrington, site visits and face-to-face meetings with colleagues will be expected. Must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Senior Engineer will support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital, and safety performance.

  1. Minimum BSc Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience
  2. Significant experience and competency in Automation and Control Engineering
  3. Good general knowledge of each Automation and Control engineering discipline
  4. Detailed experience with multiple system implementation projects and/or control system platforms
  5. Experience in Brownfield upgrades/replacement automation and control projects
  6. Rockwell PLC and SCADA systems experience is advantageous
  7. Experience of Microsoft SQL would be advantageous
  8. Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, methodologies, and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
  9. Knowledge of modern automation and control applications, tools, methodologies, or equivalent training/experience
  10. Good working knowledge of current industry-specific technology and the application of current engineering software/tools and trends
  11. Inquisitive, well-organized, and have a keen eye for detail
  12. Ability to attend client sites throughout the UK
  13. Able to operate in an integrated team environment with a desire and ability to build trust and respect throughout the team
