Responsibilities
  • Write playbooks and modules to implement hardening controls and manage configuration tools in a variety of environments at different accreditation levels.
  • Upgrade, support, and optimize automation tools to create a highly available, resilient, and self-healing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation tools and their implementation, recommending and implementing changes to enhance, stabilize, and secure ongoing operation.
  • Enable Maxar infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain compliant systems using standards and configuration state management tools tailored to compliance requirements.
  • Continuously monitor operational system performance and usage, and refine tools to reduce complexity, increase reliability, and align timeliness with efficient costs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to obtain Secret Security clearance.
  • At least two years of software development or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Ability to be on call on a rotating basis.
  • Linux system administration experience.
  • Experience using and/or administering a variety of open-source technologies.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
  • Experience with Ansible Tower or AWX writing Ansible playbooks and roles.
  • Experience with Satellite and Puppet.
  • Windows system administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret or TS/SCI U.S. security clearance.
  • PowerShell training.
  • SCCM and Group Policy experience.
  • Imaging baselines and OS repositories familiarity.
  • Experience implementing compliance standards (e.g., STIG, CIS, NIST 800-171).
  • Cloud environment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or others).
  • Experience using Ansible, Satellite, Ubuntu Landscape or equivalent technologies.
  • CI/CD experience and Git experience.
  • Agile development experience.

Salary information: The base pay for this position within Colorado is $104,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually. For all other states, salary ranges are market-driven based on location.
