East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Learning Disability and Autism Practitioner to join the 12-month CAMHS Alternatives To Admission Pathway pilot. You will work with autistic children and young people and those with learning disabilities in crisis.

You will provide specialist assessment, crisis support, and contribute to reducing admissions while embedding neurodevelopmental practice across crisis services.

Qualificações

• Experience in learning disabilities and autism within CAMHS or crisis settings.
• Ability to provide specialist assessments and interventions for autistic children/young people and those with learning disabilities.
• Experience in training and coaching staff to improve knowledge and skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialist assessment, intervention and crisis support for autistic children and young people and those with learning disabilities.
• Support admission avoidance and facilitate safe discharge from inpatient services where appropriate.
• Offer specialist advice, consultation and support to multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Promote person-centred, trauma-informed care, reasonable adjustments and positive behaviour support approaches.
• Deliver training and coaching to improve staff knowledge, confidence and skills.
• Work collaboratively with families, education, social care and healthcare partners to improve outcomes for children and young people.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evaluation activities.
