Job Description

These roles will work across two major segments, each containing multiple accounts with contrasting client needs: Healthcare (using HTM standards) and JSP 375. Applicants should have knowledge of both standards.

The accounts are complex, with large engineering teams and diverse stakeholders. The SAE must be highly technical and capable of collaborating effectively within a matrix organization.

Each account has its own engineering resources and leadership team, at various stages of their lifecycle. As these are new roles reflecting business growth, this is a great opportunity for an Authorising Engineer to progress to SAE level, develop engineering standards across multiple accounts, and work with SMEs for a leading employer in the Hard FM sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and ensure the highest health and safety standards across sites
  • Ensure statutory, mandatory, and contractual compliance for Safe System of Work delivery
  • Set Safe System of Work requirements for high-risk activities
  • Interview, assess, and appoint authorized persons per company policies
  • Lead and mentor teams of authorized persons on Safe Systems of Work compliance
  • Define responsibilities for each authorized person regarding systems and installations
  • Maintain a register of authorized persons and report deficiencies
  • Document and communicate any deviations from guidance and ensure understanding among authorized persons
