Job summary

Integrated Utility Services Limited is seeking a Senior Authorised Person to lead the planning and safe delivery of work across IUS streams for Northern Powergrid and private networks, based around Wakefield, Sheffield or Hull. The role emphasises compliance with Safety Rules, operational procedures and effective staff supervision.

Essential HV experience, OHL/UG SAP background and a valid UK driving licence are required, with opportunities for career progression and enhanced qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and safely deliver work across IUS workstreams for Northern Powergrid and IUS Privately Controlled Networks
• Operate on IUS-controlled Private Network in line with Safety Rules and procedures
• Coordinate HV operational works and respond to faults on networks
• Issue safety documents on HV networks and supervise staff on site
• Support standby cover and collaborate in a team environment
• Demonstrate effective planning, organisation and SHEQ adherence

As a Senior Authorised Person, you would be primarily responsible for the planning and safe operational delivery of work across all IUS workstreams, on Northern Powergrid and IUS Privately Controlled Networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating on IUS controlled Private Network in compliance with the Safety Rules, and relevant operational procedures, this includes taking on the role of Control Engineer
• Operating on the Northern Powergrid Network in compliance with the Safety Rules, OPM and relevant operational procedures
• Operational control of IUS construction projects and the correct application of the Off System Rules Construction policy
• Issuing of safety documents on HV networks
• Setting staff to work and supervision of site activities
• Planning of IUS HV operational works
• Responding to faults on HC Networks
• Contribution in the IUS standby cover
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Effective planning and organisation skills
• SHEQ knowledge

Qualifications and Attributes:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or DNO / Recognised Electrical Authorisation
• Previous experience as an HV OHL & UG SAP
• Previous experience on HV DNO and private networks
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Previous experience on HV/EHV DNO and private networks
• Commercial and operational responsibilities
