Job description

What you do

You will engage in large-scale, cross-functional audits, gaining in-depth business knowledge and enhancing personal development within a multicultural environment. A Senior Auditor is a seasoned professional who requires minimal supervision and supports lead auditors in managing less experienced team members. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with audit managers and practice heads overseeing your projects.

You may also provide context to audit findings during follow-up reviews to ensure timely implementation of recommendations. Additional related tasks may be assigned by senior management within the internal audit function.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the effectiveness of risk management, controls, and governance, and documenting audit work with relevant comments and properly referenced working papers.
  • Communicating efficiently with team members and management to prepare audit findings, recommendations, and discuss risks and impacts based on your audit work.
  • Respecting management's time through proper preparation, scheduling, and conducting meetings (planning, opening, interviews, closing, and post-audit reviews).
  • Challenging management action plans to ensure risks are properly addressed before finalizing reports, in collaboration with lead auditors and practice heads.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with Heads of Functions and local CEOs.
  • Supporting junior auditors’ skill development through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Contributing to administrative tasks such as process risk assessments, audit planning, and preparing audit work programs.
  • Presenting audit findings during closing meetings.

What you bring

  • 4-6 years of relevant audit experience.
  • A proactive, energetic attitude and a 'can-do' approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues during intensive audit missions.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (30-40%) for periods of two weeks at a time.
  • Ability to work across cultures and diverse teams.
  • Comfort with business class travel for flights over 5 hours.
  • Strong interviewing skills and a disciplined approach from past experience in auditing, project management, or risk management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and curiosity to explore new technologies like data analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • Continuous learning mindset and curiosity about evolving business environments.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CIA, CPA) are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements and experience in financial services (banking/insurance) are highly desirable.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus.
