About the Role

Our client is seeking a thorough and experienced Senior Auditor to join their internal audit department in East London . This role is responsible for planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement. You will work closely with management across various departments to understand business processes and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balance of on-site auditing activities and remote analysis and reporting, fostering efficiency and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute internal audit engagements, including fieldwork and documentation.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Identify and document audit findings, recommending practical solutions to management.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management and audit committees.
• Conduct follow-up procedures to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
• Stay current with auditing standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Professional certification such as CA(SA), CIA, or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal or external auditing.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and audit software is a plus.
