As a Senior Auditor, you will take the lead in planning and delivering audits across the organisation, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Your findings will provide the Central Executive Committee (CEC) with independent assurance on the strength of our control framework. Using a structured and commercially minded approach, you’ll identify risks, add value through actionable insights, and contribute directly to the achievement of wider business goals. This position requires strong managerial experience. You will manage audit assignments, liaise with stakeholders across departments, and support the development of junior team members through guidance and mentoring. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and challenge at all levels are essential.

To be successful, you should be ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) with a solid background in audit, including experience leading or managing audit projects or teams.

This position offers a competitive salary of £45,000–£60,000 (depending on qualifications and experience), along with a £6000 car allowance, performance bonus, private health cover, and the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week (subject to business needs). Some travel to other sites will be required, so flexibility is essential. The role is based at our Annesley site (NG15 0DR).

Main Responsibilities:
• Highlight company risks and controls required to address them by adopting a risk-based approach.
• Provide independent assurance to the Board on the standards of control
• Contribute significantly to the development of audit programme, including approach, techniques and reporting standards with minimal supervision
• Proactively develop the audit plan and audit test programmes
• Conduct audit closure meetings and agree the findings with the relevant managers
• Prepare detailed audit reports, including recommendations to improve standards of control
• Provide oversight and input significantly to the annual JSOX cycle
• Perform ad-hoc reviews and special projects as required by the Board
• Provide information and advice on Company policies, systems, procedures, and risks as required
• Engender effective communication within the Company, to add value that contributes to the Company's objectives
• Work independently or as part of a team, providing support and assistance to other staff and managers as required
• Supervise junior team members as appropriate and assist in their development.


Skills and Experience
• Part qualified ACA or ACCA (as a minimum), fully qualified preferable
• Significant internal audit experience in industry roles preferred, relevant external audit and/or financial accounts experience also considered
• Proven leadership in team management
• Methodical and structured approach to work.
• Able to focus on detail, with the ability to draw and present precise and succinct conclusions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• A high standard of computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office 365)
• Confident communicator to all levels of a business (internal and external stakeholders)
