Job summary

Cortea is hiring an auditor with a deep interest in audit methodology to translate standards into structured logic for AI-enabled audits. You will work closely with product and engineering, shaping prompts and outputs while ensuring quality and ethical standards.

This hybrid London-based role includes regular travel to Berlin and collaboration with a cross‑functional team. You bring 5+ years of financial audit experience, ACA/ACCA or equivalent, and a passion for how tech can improve auditing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of financial audit experience at Big 4 or leading mid-tier firms.
• ACA (ICAEW), ACCA, or equivalent chartered qualification.
• Strong interest in audit methodology and turning standards into clear logic.
• Tech‑first mindset; willingness to leverage or build tools for AI/audit.
• Ability to sketch decision trees and define structured, unambiguous process outputs.

Responsibilities

• Product Shaping: join reviews/design sessions; provide hands-on feedback and help prioritise the roadmap.
• Methodology to Logic: translate ISA UK and international standards into executable logic for product/engineering.
• Prompt Engineering: write, test and refine prompts and decision logic that drive AI audit workflows.
• Documentation Quality: ensure ISA UK 230 alignment and quality for internal/external reviews.
• Independence & Ethics: safeguard auditor independence and comply with ethics standards.
• Berlin Collaboration: travel to Berlin hub to work with the team.
