Job summary

Metro Bank is seeking an experienced auditor to support the Head of Audit in delivering a risk-based Transformation and Change Audit Plan. You will work with senior stakeholders and use AI tools to enhance assurance across major transformation programmes, ensuring governance and controls are effectively delivered.

The role focuses on identifying delivery risks, providing actionable recommendations, and maintaining robust audit documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of change and transformation risk frameworks within financial services.
• Experience assessing programme and project management methodologies, with focus on identifying delivery risks and governance arrangements.
• Awareness of outsourcing regulatory expectations and change risk management.
• Experience of assurance over controls and compliance by design.
• Professional qualification (IIA and/or PRINCE2/MSP/Agile PM/SAFe or CISA).
• Proven auditing experience on large-scale transformation/change programmes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Audit to develop and execute the risk-based Transformation and Change Audit Plan.
• Contribute to IA planning and prioritisation across major transformation programmes.
• Develop test plans covering governance and key controls.
• Deliver audits using various techniques including data analytics and AI tools.
• Document findings and present actionable recommendations to the Audit Committee.
• Maintain IA documentation in line with GIAS and IA methodology.
• Coordinate IA colleagues and co-sourced resources on audits.
• Follow up management actions to ensure risks are addressed.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across the Bank.
