Are you an experienced internal audit professional with deep financial services expertise, looking to lead strategic audit engagements across investments, operations, and distribution functions? This could be your next big move.

Our client – a major player in the financial services sector with a global reach – is looking for a Senior Audit Manager to join their high-performing Group Internal Audit team. This is a senior-level position reporting into the Head of Audit (SMF5), and offers a fantastic opportunity to shape audit strategy, lead complex risk-based audits, and engage with senior stakeholders across the business. With a clear pathway into the succession plan.

The Opportunity:

As Senior Audit Manager, you'll play a key role in:

• Designing and delivering a high-quality, risk-based internal audit programme across investment management and related areas.
• Leading and executing strategic audits, ensuring the work meets internal methodology and regulatory standards.
• Acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders – challenging, influencing, and providing robust assurance on risk and control frameworks.
• Identifying opportunities for innovation, including use of data analytics, automation, and other technologies to enhance audit insight.
• Mentoring and coaching more junior audit professionals, supporting team development and continuous improvement.
• Representing Internal Audit in forums and committees, contributing to governance and oversight across the group.

What We’re Looking For:

• Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIIA, Actuarial or equivalent)
• Strong track record delivering complex audits in a financial services environment – ideally with exposure to investments, operations, or distribution.
• Sound understanding of risk management, regulatory requirements, and governance practices.
• Experience managing and coaching audit teams and delivering audit plans to agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Confidence working with senior leadership and influencing business decisions with commercial awareness.
• Exposure to data analytics, automation or digital audit tools is a plus.
