Job summary

MHA is seeking an Audit Senior Manager in Milton Keynes to lead a portfolio of OMB, PE-backed and overseas-owned clients across multiple sectors. You will drive delivery, manage resources and nurture key client relationships, balancing output with budgets.

The role requires fully qualified ACA/ACCA with 5+ years post-qualification experience, strong UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and leadership skills. Agile working and a supportive management structure accompany the opportunity.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualified experience in external audit, accounts and general practice
• Experience working with OMBs covering a range of industries
• Excellent technical knowledge, UK GAAP, FRS102, FRS101 and IFRS
• Competent user of MS Excel & Word. Experience of Sage, CaseWare and tax software preferred
• Either at Manager-grade looking to make a step up into a Senior Manager-level role OR an experienced Senior Manager looking to join and further grow our established Audit practice
• Management experience – ability to manage and delegate effectively
• Client focus and able to think commercially – able to seek out opportunities within the portfolio
• Communication – oral and written, ability to deal with variety of people in different environments
• Organisational skills – the ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities
• Diplomacy and patience
• Able to understand complex business issues and offer practical solutions

Responsibilities

• To manage a portfolio of OMB, PE backed and overseas owned clients, across a range of sectors
• You will need to meet the needs of these clients and to maximise the fee income of the portfolio, by delivering MHA services
• To effectively manage resources and the workflow
• Your focus is on supporting the Partners and Directors in the delivery of the firm’s strategy and leading client relationships on some complex assignments
• You will manage a large portfolio and will be responsible for balancing levels of output with client expectations and budget
• You will motivate your team, across multiple projects, applying breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to generate practical solutions for our clients
• You will take the lead on more complex and challenging assignments. You will utilise your internal and external networks to spot opportunities in your existing portfolio and start to generate new business opportunities for the Firm
• You will encourage your team to challenge the status quo and respond confidently to the challenge, using their ideas to drive your team forward
• You will play a critical role in the development of your management team, directing and coaching them to meet their goals and the objectives of the Firm

What We’re Looking For
