Senior Audit Manager

Liverpool

£55,000 - £60,000

This Top 100 firm are on an exciting growth trajectory within their Liverpool office and are keen to continue expanding as a result of new business wins and referred work.

They now have a position available for a Senior Audit Manager to work across their exciting client base. With an excellent reputation across the North, they cover a wide range of sectors and industries from start-ups to multi-million-pound entities.

Your role as a Senior Audit Manager:

1. Working alongside the Head of Audit, you will manage and develop the Audit team through effective supervision and training
2. Effectively plan and execute an audit engagement, through audit testing and ensure all parts of the file are completed
3. Ensure all accounts are reviewed and review points fed back to team members
4. Carry out managerial tasks and support wider team with their development through regular reviews, on the job training and study support
5. Organise and lead weekly team meetings to discuss client deadlines, workload/planner and billing targets
6. Attend client meetings, building excellent working relationships and winning new work
7. Assist with the delivery of CPD training and webinars ensuring the teams remain compliant with the latest legislative changes
8. Help shape the audit team driving best practice while ensuring efficiency
9. Start building your own portfolio of clients to manage and take forward

What you'll need to succeed:

1. ACCA/ACA qualified
2. Ability to plan and lead an audit throughout its entirety
3. Technically strong, with knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS
4. Previous experience in a managerial/team leadership capacity
5. Confident dealing with clients at all levels
6. Proactive approach to work and the ability to work under pressure
