Job summary

Sumer, via DPC Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking an Audit Senior to join our expanding Audit team. You will take ownership of audits from planning to completion, work with a diverse client portfolio, and mentor junior staff.

You should be qualified or near qualifying (ACA/ACCA) with solid UK auditing standards knowledge and strong client relationship skills. This permanent role offers stability within a fast-growing national network.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or nearing completion required.
• Experience in an accountancy practice with external audits.
• Strong understanding of UK auditing standards.
• Ability to manage multiple audits and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit assignments for a varied client portfolio.
• Manage audits from planning through to final reporting and ensure timeliness.
• Act as the primary contact for clients during engagements.
• Identify risk areas and ensure audits meet auditing standards.
• Prepare and review audit files and supporting documentation.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with statutory accounts where required.
• Identify opportunities to add value and provide wider business advice.
• Ensure assignments are delivered on time and within budget.
