Job summary

Puro Associates, Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking an Audit Senior to lead and manage audits for a range of UK clients. You will plan, execute, and finalise audit fieldwork in line with ISA standards, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.

You will coach junior staff, review reports, and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services. ACA/ACCA qualification and solid UK practice experience are required.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience as an Audit Senior within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of audit processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, executing, and completing audit fieldwork in accordance with International Standards on Auditing.
• Ensure all audit work is completed on time and within budget with high quality standards.
• Prepare and review audit reports, management letters, and other deliverables for clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff, including training and performance management.
• Keep up-to-date with auditing standards and share knowledge with the team.

Key Responsibilities of an Audit Senior:

• Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, executing, and completing audit fieldwork in accordance with International Standards on Auditing.
• Ensure that all audit work is completed in a timely manner and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Prepare and review audit reports, management letters, and other deliverables for presentation to clients.

• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes to auditing standards, and proactively share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an Audit Senior within a UK accountancy practice. Would consider a strong Audit Semi-Senior who is looking to step up!
