Qualifications

• 3+ years UK accountancy practice experience (audit-focused).
• Proven experience leading audits from planning to completion.
• Strong technical grounding in audit methodology, risk assessment, and file completion.
• Confidence using audit software and Excel (pivot tables, reconciliations, working papers).
• Professional, client-facing approach with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Leading audit fieldwork on-site and/or at client premises.
• Planning audits, preparing audit programmes and coordinating timelines.
• Preparing and reviewing audit files and ensuring completion of audit documentation.
• Drafting accounts and reports and assisting with completion meetings.
• Building strong working relationships with clients and acting as a day-to-day contact.
• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where needed.
