Trafford Council is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead a wide range of internal audits across the Council’s services, working closely with the Principal Auditors and Head of Audit and Assurance. We have an exciting opportunity within our excellent Internal Audit and Assurance Team for a Senior Auditor. This is a brilliant role for an auditor who is seeking to progress their career in a modern and vibrant local authority. Working closely with the Principal Auditors and Head of Audit and Assurance, you will lead a wide range of interesting internal audits across the whole breadth of the Council’s services. You will have real responsibility to manage this work, liaising first hand with audit clients, supervising audit officers and making a real positive difference for customer outcomes.
You will have proven ability to deliver internal audits which are of high quality, in line with relevant professional standards. You will be able to work within agreed time budgets for audit assignments. You will have excellent report writing skills and business English. You will have sound relationship management skills and be skilled at building positive, and suitably impartial, working relationships with audit clients. You will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a modern team, contributing to the development of our excellent Audit and Assurance service.
