Job summary

AMS Group is a UK Top 60 accountancy firm with 40+ years of experience and 200+ colleagues across 14 offices. As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will deliver high‑quality audit and statutory accounts assignments for a varied client portfolio, supporting the Audit Manager and junior colleagues while maintaining strong client relationships.

This hands‑on, delivery‑focused role requires technical excellence, clear communication, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in audit and accounts in a professional practice
• Strong ability to lead audit fieldwork and prepare statutory accounts
• Experience supervising junior staff is desirable

Responsibilities

• Audit fieldwork for a range of clients and ensure work is completed to a high standard and in line with ISAs
• Prepare and complete audit testing across key financial statement areas
• Draft clear, well‑structured audit working papers for manager and RI review
• Review junior/trainees work
• Assist with audit planning, including risk assessment and scoping
• Identify audit issues early and communicate them promptly to the manager
• Support the completion process, including final analytical review and clearing review points.
