Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Audit Senior/Assistant Audit Manager/ Audit Manager to take ownership of audit assignments and lead a small team within a broader practice environment.

You’ll engage with a diverse client base, contribute to accounts work and due diligence, and have opportunities to progress toward RI status while expanding across the wider practice. Salary circa £60,000.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification held with strong UK practice background.
• Solid audit experience and knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
• Experience managing audit assignments and meeting deadlines.
• Comfort dealing directly with clients and developing junior staff.
• Commercial, proactive mindset with business development exposure.
• Experience across wider practice activities (accounts, due diligence, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a portfolio of audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Lead and support a small team of 3–4 staff and review work for quality.
• Build long-term client relationships across SME, owner-managed and not-for-profit portfolios.
• Contribute to pitches, tenders and identifying opportunities within client relationships.
• Progress toward RI status and play a senior role in the firm's audit offering.
