Job summary

TPF Recruitment is assisting a respected independent practice in Brighton to recruit a Senior Audit & Accounts Accountant. You will manage statutory audits, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and mentor junior staff while building strong client relationships.

The role offers varied audit work, hybrid working arrangements, and clear career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Around one year of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience delivering statutory audits across a varied client base.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and self assessment tax returns.
• Good technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and auditing principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver statutory audits in line with standards and firm methodologies.
• Prepare high quality audit working papers and complete audit files.
• Lead audit fieldwork on site and remotely, guiding junior team members.
• Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax/self assessment returns.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver proactive, high-quality service.
• Support, coach and mentor junior staff; contribute to process improvements.
