We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Assurance Engineer [Civils] to join our assurance team. This role is crucial in ensuring engineering compliance, quality, and safety across our civils asset portfolio.
As a Senior Assurance Engineer [Civils], you will play a key role in advancing assurance and risk management processes within civil engineering. You will provide technical input, support, and expert advice on assurance and risk-related matters.
You will collaborate closely with asset managers in the Civils Engineering & Asset Management team and work with stakeholders across engineering disciplines to foster a strong culture of risk awareness and assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Role duties include:
1. Support development and delivery of risk & assurance strategies across the region and with stakeholders.
2. Provide leadership for risk and assurance management within engineering & asset management.
3. Offer expert advice on assurance activities to enable effective development and delivery.
4. Contribute to standards, KPIs, and compliance measures to ensure system and asset risk controls are assured.
5. Identify opportunities for technical and process improvements, developing business cases as needed.
6. Support verification activities by applying assurance processes throughout asset and project lifecycles.
7. Coordinate activities across engineering disciplines and support the development of assurance engineers.
8. Assist in setting policies, standards, and training programs related to assurance activities.
9. Support risk analysis and assessment, including derogation and non-compliance evaluations.
Candidate requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or comparable experience.
- Membership of a relevant technical body.
- Broad technical engineering experience.
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Project or financial planning experience.
