Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations.
  • Prepare tax workpapers, reports, and other supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records for all tax filings, and client communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies.
  • Provide guidance and research on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and structures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the team members, clients, offering high-quality tax deliverables.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to team members and clients on tax-related matters and issues.
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, including federal, state, and international tax law.
  • Stay updated on tax law changes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and staff, providing training and support for their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality and efficient service delivery.
  • 2 to 5 years of US tax experience at a public accounting firm, primarily focussing on corporate tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Professional Qualification:

  • CPA or EA preferred; bachelors or masters in accounting or taxation
