Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior/Associate Town Planner to join their expanding team. This is a permanent role with significant opportunities for professional growth within a team poised for expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing development applications from minor projects to extensive land promotion for up to 10,000 homes
  • Contributing to and driving the growth of the planning team
  • Providing strategic town planning expertise and support to the wider business
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery
  • Supporting junior team members and fostering an inclusive environment
  • Engaging with local authorities and navigating the planning process
  • Delivering planning appraisals and managing multiple projects concurrently

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in development management and town planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work mainly in the office with some hybrid working after probation
  • Motivated to contribute to team growth
  • Experience in local authority environments is a plus
  • Degree in town planning or equivalent qualification
