Job description

Role Purpose and Impact

This role contributes to the delivery, evolution and disclosure of LSEG’s Climate Transition Plan

Working in the Group Sustainability team this role supports and provides specific input to LSEG’s sustainability strategy with a focus on environmental performance and data.

This role is central to ensuring LSEG meets its near-term environmental targets and climate ambition, collaborating across the business to support the operational and strategic delivery of programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the evolution and delivery of LSEG’s climate strategy through programme and data analysis
  • Analysis and checking of LSEG’s GHG emissions data inventory
  • Contribute to modelling of LSEG’s GHG emissions and associated reductions pathways to achieve our targets
  • Undertake desk-based research to support the aims and actions of our climate transition plan
  • Support with annual CDP disclosure and Annual Reporting processes including TCFD and TNFD and CSRD E1 disclosure requirements
  • Support the scoping and implementation of internal carbon pricing and offsetting strategies
  • Support the review and execution of LSEG’s physical and transition climate risk scenario analysis

Desirable Skills

  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions and/or Carbon accounting experience
  • Understanding of the best practice climate change initiatives and commitments (including Greenhouse Gas Protocol, SBTi, TCFD, TNFD, CSRD)
  • Excellent data management, analytical skills and attention to detail

Technical / job functional knowledge

  • Strong data management and analytical skills

Business and sector expertise

  • Sustainability experience within relevant industry sectors such as Financial Services, Professional Services or Technology

Leadership & Management Responsibilities / Expertise

  • No direct reports
  • Work with other members of the Group Sustainability team as appropriate
