Senior Associate - Strategic Land Development

We are seeking a Senior Associate (ideally 5-10 years PQE) to join our growing Development team, focusing on Strategic Land Development. The firm generates significant opportunities from regional and national landowners and property developers. To support our growth, we require an experienced solicitor with a strong background in Strategic Land Development, including Option and/or Promotion agreements, and an established reputation in this field, preferably with connections to agencies.

This is a great opportunity to develop a practice in Strategic Land Development across any UK location.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Manage your own caseload, ensuring all deadlines are met;
  2. Assist Partners with complex and high-value matters;
  3. Maintain good client relationships through effective management and service delivery;
  4. Scope and price new instructions accurately, with sound financial management;
  5. Provide clients with accurate, up-to-date legal advice tailored to their circumstances, offering value for money;
  6. Contribute to the team’s business plan and take ownership of assigned activities;
  7. Build relationships with peers across the firm;
  8. Support business development and marketing efforts, including attending conferences;
  9. Manage direct reports as the team expands.
Person Specification
  1. Proven technical experience in Strategic Land Development;
  2. Experience with Court processes, procedures, and case management;
  3. Adaptable, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team;
  4. Collaborative, working effectively with colleagues across the firm;
  5. Client-focused, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and valuable service outcomes;
  6. Excellent communication skills at all levels;
  7. Strong commercial acumen and a desire to grow and succeed within the firm.
