A nationally recognised law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Disputes (RED) team in Birmingham. The Role

This role offers a stimulating mix of active litigation and preventative advisory work, working closely with the firm's sizeable non-contentious real estate team. You’ll manage your own caseload and support on complex matters across tribunals and courts, offering proactive solutions on a wide range of commercial real estate disputes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on landlord and tenant disputes, rights of way, restrictive covenants, and property development issues.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings and tribunals.
  • Drafting and reviewing technical legal documents.
  • Working closely with transactional real estate teams to identify risks and mitigate disputes.
  • Participating in business development and client relationship building.

Requirements

  • 5+ years PQE in real estate disputes within a well-regarded legal practice.
  • Proven experience in tribunal and court work.
  • Strong technical skills with high analytical and forensic abilities.
  • Clear and concise drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to resolving client issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • A genuine interest in real estate and dispute resolution.
  • A collaborative approach and interest in growing the RED practice.
  • Willingness to engage in networking and business development initiatives.
  • Experience advising sectors such as healthcare, education, and development.
