Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd. is recruiting an Associate Quantity Surveyor for its Bristol team. The role focuses on leading cost consultancy services across commercial and student accommodation projects, strengthening client relationships and supporting business growth.

The ideal candidate will combine strong QS expertise with leadership and a proactive approach to developing client relationships and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards MRICS.
• Significant experience in cost consultancy/quantity surveying.
• Experience delivering commercial building projects, preferably including student accommodation.
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships.
• Ability to develop junior staff and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management and quantity surveying on a varied project portfolio.
• Oversee projects from feasibility through procurement to final account.
• Prepare and review cost plans, estimates, tender docs and reports.
• Advise on procurement strategies, contract selection and value engineering.
• Manage budgets, change control, valuations and forecasting.
• Act as main client contact and coordinate with teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors and support business development.
