Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland in Leeds is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer at Senior Associate or Principal Associate level (5–9 PQE). The role centers on transactional work in M&A, with involvement in equity capital markets, private equity and reorganisations.

You will manage multiple ongoing transactions, adapt to tight timelines and help with client secondments and placements. We value strong client service, commercial awareness and the ability to coach junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of Post Qualified Experience in Corporate law.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions and work to tight deadlines.

Role And Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join the Leeds team, which could be at Senior Associate or Principal Associate level, with 5‑9 years of PQE. This role is primarily transactional with a focus on M&A, complemented by involvement in equity capital markets, private equity and reorganisations. Candidates are expected to manage multiple concurrent transactions, work flexibly to tight deadlines, and contribute to business development activity. They will build relationships both locally and internationally and will assist in client secondments and placements.

Skills And Experience

• Candidates with 5-9 years of Post Qualified Experience in Corporate law
• Candidates who can manage the competing demands of multiple transactions and work flexibly to tight deadlines
• An ability to demonstrate excellent client service; drive, enthusiasm and teamwork are vital
• An ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, including experience supporting junior colleagues
• Strong commercial awareness and willingness to participate in group training and knowledge sharing
• For Senior Associate or Principal Associate level: experience of coaching, supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
